Pinterest Wednesday: Amazing Handwriting

image

As I did my daily Pinterest trolling, my cousin, who happens to be planning her wedding, with my help :), she pinned an amazing array of calligraphy written invitation envelopes. It amazes me how people can have such a great penmanship that it actually made me want to practice my cursive writing… Nerd I know.

Although I may not know how to write in calligraphy form, there is a of the pin that shows how to “fake it”. All you do is write in cursive and do many fancy loops and then you fill in with starting with lines/loops on the left on every letter.

Here are some of the amazing calligraphy pins I saw on Pinterest.

Don’t they make you want to seriously practice you handwriting?

Pinterest Wednesday: Arm Candy!

Hello readers!

You know what today is! It is:

In today’s installment of Pinterest Wednesday I bring you, “arm candy”! and no, I’m not talking about guys!

If any one of y’all has either a pinterest account, instagram, and/or follow fashion blogs, you know what I’m talking about and have seen this trend.

It seems a little flamboyant to wear an excessive amount of jewelry on just one arm (wrist), but it actually looks good!

Here are just a few of my favorite arm candy inspiration pins:

*All images courtesy of Pinterest and available for viewing on my Pinterest Page*

Here’s a couple of photos of my attempt at “arm candy”.

I got my accessories at a local Dallas store called OM Imports. It basically caters to those that love accessories at VERY affordable prices! My entire look, minus the Chanel bag, $14.50! For my D-FW readers, the store is located on Harry Hines near Sam Moon, Between Forest Lane and Royal Lane.

I think my next purchase will be a cute BCBG bracelet that seen in some of the pins above. The bracelet’s are actually very affordable at only $18 a piece. What a bargain!

I would buy a watch, but I have 4 and I wear none of them! I merely buy them for accessory purposes. It’s kind of sad that I don’t use them to actually tell time, I rely on my iPhone for the time entirely too much. I’m sure I’m not the only one right?

Enough with my rambling! Do you like this trend? Are you currently obsessing over this over the top “arm candy” like I am? If so, take photo’s and tag me on instagram so I can see y’all take on it! My instagram handle is: iamfelipa.

Until next time,

Pinterest Wednesday!

It’s Pinterest Wednesday!

While browsing Pinterest today, I came across a delicious VERY LOW CALORIE recipe just in time for the start of summer! Well, “summer” for us that go to school.

Frozen Fruit Pops
Servings: 4 • Serving Size: 1 pop
Calories: 32.1 • Fat: 0.2 g • Carb: 7.8 g • Fiber: 1.1 g • Protein: 0.4 g • Sugar: 5 g
Sodium: 1.4 mg

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup diced kiwi
  • 1/3 cup diced watermelon
  • 1/3 cup diced strawberries
  • 1/3 cup diced pineapple
  • 1/4 cup fresh pineapple juice or orange juice

Directions:

Combine diced fruit in a bowl and fill each 5 oz cup with fruit. Add 1 tbsp of juice and insert craft sticks into each cup. They easily stay in place because of all the fruit. Placein the freezer a few hours until firm. To remove the pops from the cups, run under warm water a few seconds. Enjoy!
