Rainy Day, Cloudy Day, Silver Lining…

It’s Wednesday, the middle of the week, and it’s raining and freezing (It was 83* yesterday!). I’ve had 2 grande sized coffees today and I guess that’s like 4 cups of caffeine goodness, which is definitely needed on a day that should be spent under a blanket and watching movies, but no, instead of doing that, I’m writing case analysis’, taking notes and organizing. (Planner is from MayDesigns.com where you can customize all different sorts of planners and even stationary set. This is my second planner. I love them!)

Besides having to do all of the above, I had a nice little monster (oxymoron much?) to keep me company… Andy!

(He didn’t appreciate mommy (me) working and not being able to play with him.)

On my last post I said I bought some wedges, well I went back to the store and these are WAY out there, but I just think these are awesome I might just get them!

(Jessica Simpson, why do you make design such cute shoes?)

I just realized how scattered my blog post is today; I blame it on the weather.

Here is a cute hair-do that I stumbled across on Pinterest yesterday! Can be found on my Hair Pin Board or on the actual bloggers website The Small Things: Half French PonyTail

(Perfect for spring, don’t you think?)

And finally, I’ve discussed the weather, which happens to also be in the title of this post, but the other part? Silver Lining? Well, It has to do with my favorite song right now, and that is new country singer Kacey Musgraves’ song “Silver Lining”. Go pick up or download her album on iTunes.

Pinterest Wednesday: Amazing Handwriting

image

As I did my daily Pinterest trolling, my cousin, who happens to be planning her wedding, with my help :), she pinned an amazing array of calligraphy written invitation envelopes. It amazes me how people can have such a great penmanship that it actually made me want to practice my cursive writing… Nerd I know.

Although I may not know how to write in calligraphy form, there is a of the pin that shows how to “fake it”. All you do is write in cursive and do many fancy loops and then you fill in with starting with lines/loops on the left on every letter.

Here are some of the amazing calligraphy pins I saw on Pinterest.

Don’t they make you want to seriously practice you handwriting?

Pinterest Wednesday!: Fall Needs!

I’m back! In today’s installment of Pinterest Wednesday, I bring to you fall fashion needs! Well, more like what I would wear once the temperature cools down! Besides, fall is officially here on September 23, three days shy of my 23rd birthday! Yes, I’m a September baby and a fall baby, oh, and a Libra :).

I’m a sucker for boots, scarves, and big comfy sweaters! Especially when it starts getting nippy outside and trekking across campus I don’t want to worry about not having enough layers and let’s face it, I don’t want to look frumpy, I want to look cute.

So I was thrilled when I came across these pins on Pinterest! So many ideas!

Enjoy! All can be seen here: http://pinterest.com/iamfelipa/fashion/

Until next time,

Pinterest Wednesday! Rock and Roll Glam

Finally back with a spankin’ new installment of Pinterest Wednesday! Since we are in September and thus officially marks the start of Fall, well, at least not until the 23rd.

Today I bring to you, All Black Everything! Studs, shoes, lace, and jewelry!

All shoes are Steve Madden, and yes, I actually bought the studded flats, and they are very dangerous if you leave them on the floor in the dark and step them, OUCH!

Until next time,

Pinterest Wednesday!: Fashion Combos

In today’s installment of Pinterest Wednesday I present to you these lovely Fashion Boards that people create on Polyvore and happily post them on on Pinterest so I can drool over how cute the combos look. All looks can be found on my Pinterest Bored: Fashion.

Enjoy!

Until next time,

Pinterest Wednesday!: Office Supplies!

Back with Pinterest Wednesday!

It’s hard to ignore the displays popping up everywhere in office supply stores and places such as Target and Walmart all displaying school/office supplies.

We’re almost at the end of July, and even though I’m a college student and have no need for school supplies besides paper, a pen, highlighter and textbooks, I still get pretty darn excited about office supplies. It might sound weird, but it’s true, school supply shopping was always my favorite part of the year when it came to the start of a new school year.

So here I present to some of things that caught my eye and have actually purchased. Most of the stuff is to keep things organize, I’m slightly OCD with things being in their places. Enough of that though, here it is!

From top left: monogrammed mint leather pouch, Turquoise w/ Gold embellishment iPad case from anthropology, striped legal pad by Kate Spade, and finally Custom Monogramed Agenda by Maybooks.

All items can be viewed on my Pinterest board: http://pinterest.com/iamfelipa/organization/

Pinterest Wednesday: Arm Candy!

Hello readers!

You know what today is! It is:

In today’s installment of Pinterest Wednesday I bring you, “arm candy”! and no, I’m not talking about guys!

If any one of y’all has either a pinterest account, instagram, and/or follow fashion blogs, you know what I’m talking about and have seen this trend.

It seems a little flamboyant to wear an excessive amount of jewelry on just one arm (wrist), but it actually looks good!

Here are just a few of my favorite arm candy inspiration pins:

*All images courtesy of Pinterest and available for viewing on my Pinterest Page*

Here’s a couple of photos of my attempt at “arm candy”.

I got my accessories at a local Dallas store called OM Imports. It basically caters to those that love accessories at VERY affordable prices! My entire look, minus the Chanel bag, $14.50! For my D-FW readers, the store is located on Harry Hines near Sam Moon, Between Forest Lane and Royal Lane.

I think my next purchase will be a cute BCBG bracelet that seen in some of the pins above. The bracelet’s are actually very affordable at only $18 a piece. What a bargain!

I would buy a watch, but I have 4 and I wear none of them! I merely buy them for accessory purposes. It’s kind of sad that I don’t use them to actually tell time, I rely on my iPhone for the time entirely too much. I’m sure I’m not the only one right?

Enough with my rambling! Do you like this trend? Are you currently obsessing over this over the top “arm candy” like I am? If so, take photo’s and tag me on instagram so I can see y’all take on it! My instagram handle is: iamfelipa.
