Why am I so excited over some sunglasses? Well, I haven’t been able to wear sunglasses in YEARS! Yes, years! I think I might have been 6 or 7 the last time I could wear them, mostly because I always had wear RX glasses. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my glasses! It just sucks that it cost an arm and a leg to buy them ($600+) let alone wanting a pair of RX Sunglasses. But, I luckily have found a a website that had a pair on sale + had only an up-charge of $30 for ultra-thin lenses (I have sucky nearsightedness with astigmatism…oh joy!). 

What company you ask? Well it’s BonLook!

I had heard of companies like this one, the other being Warby Parker. I had the disposable money available and I was able to get them for $99 with free shipping in the US by UPS. I can’t wait to get them!

I honestly can’t wait! It’s about time I got some, especially with it being spring and summer in Texas can get QUITE sunny! Oh, and let’s not forget baseball season! (Go Rangers!)

Why have I neglected my blog for so long this week, besides my Manicure Post earlier in the week you ask? Well, I was consumed by a trilogy that many have already read and I just got around to read it. 

Fifty Shades of Grey.

Where should I begin?

Well, I had asked before on a previous post about some good summer reading and everyone kept mentioning these books, and then I’d hear it on TV and people described it as “mommy porn”. Sorry, but I’m 22, and definitely not a mommy, and a description like that makes me, for lack of a better word, uneasy. 

Then Sunday night, I got my iPad and downloaded all three books. Then Monday morning I began to read. (Side note: Once I begin a book, I HAVE to finish it that day, no matter what.) Not gonna lie, I was slightly disturbed at what I was reading. Tuesday rolled around, and you can guess the pattern, I finished the second book, then Wednesday the third, which happened to be my favorite. 

Now, my favorite character in the books? Christian Grey of course, even though that might sound a little weird once you start the book series, but in the end you’ll understand why. His character is, well developed (no pun intended).It seems a little twilight-ish, but better? I think. 

Anyways, now I hear they are making a movie. Um, excuse me? This movie is probably going to be Rated-R, if that! Yeah, I believe this will be a story that is going to be a little weird to portray in the big screen.

And yes, I have an actor in mind that should play Christian Grey. First it was Matt Bomber, then I changed it to Matt Dallas (KY XY main character), then FINALLY, yes FINALLY, I came to the conclusion that Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries) IS CHRISTIAN GREY. As far as Anastasia (the other main character) I think maybe Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars). 

I will be so upset if Ian Somerhalder doesn’t play Christian Grey. He’s just so good at being bad. Yes I said.

In today’s i installment of Pinterest Wednesday, I present to you, wedding ideas! No, I am not getting married or engaged, but let’s admit it, everyone on Pinterest plans their wedding even though they are single! 

Logging on to my page Pinterest account today, users that I follow have for some reason filled it with wedding stuff. So here are some cute ideas that I loved and added to my Pinterest Board: Dream Wedding. What a surprise! Ha!

I love the country feel. How awesome would it be to have a wedding reception in a place like the picture above?

Hi readers!

After reading through Facebook statuses and Twitter tweets, (redundant, I know, but how else do you describe twitter updates?) it is safe to say everyone is out for the summer or graduating! That only means it’s time to celebrate and what everyone is calls “Thirsty Thursday.”

Not this girl! I will be sitting at home watching a Rangers Double Header, The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle. All by tweeting my reaction to the games and scenes ( follow me on Twitter: @iamfelipa ).

Also, many might not know but today is actually Mother’s Day in Mexico! (culture alert!). Having a Mexican mother, who happens to also to be a U.S. Citizen, expects for my sister and I to celebrate both. Fair or foul? My sister and I say foul, it gets expensive y’all! Regardless, we celebrate today and Sunday, which will also include Saturday. I’m taking my mom to the Rangers game! She loves them, especially Josh Hamilton. I will post photo’s of that day in a future post.

I have a bad habit of browsing the internet for shoes, clothes, and jewelry when I’m bored. This usually leads me to make a list of potential items I can buy first (most affordable), then I work down the list until I get to the more higher end items. 

Here are a few of my new discoveries that I happened to find today.

Here’s my first installment of Mani Monday (manicure)! If you happen to follow me on instagram, you will notice that I take a lot of pictures of my nails. I am proud owner of over 60 nail polishes. I’m what you call a nail polish hoarder, but enough of that, let’s get on with this posting. Today I decided that I would go for a neutral color and just add a little sparkle. (Updated: I changed it to nice mint color, I couldn’t resist using a new nail polish I had forgotten I bought early last week.)

For the Neutral color I used a taupe looking color which Revlon calls “Gray Suede”, it has no gray tint to the color, go figure. I also used a clear base coat, which also can be used as a clear top coat which I used. I also used a white nail color by Wet and Wild, over the base coat and before the neutral color to enhance the very bland color. Lastly, I added a little shimmer to the tips by adding silver glitter nail polish by Sinful Nail Polish. 

FTR:I bought all these products myself.

Have a happy Monday, unless you have a case of the Mondays, then I can’t really help you there. I take my last 2 finals of the semester tomorrow and an interview on Thursday morning! Exciting times!

This semester has gone by so FAST! I usually feel like the spring semester is shorter than the fall, but I guess it must be that spring break we get. 

If I would have stuck with engineering (my intended major as a freshman in college) I wouldn’t have graduated this May (4 years later). To be a civil engineer I would have been stuck in school for 7 years or 6 by going to school every summer. I lost about a year of school since I changed my major to Public Relations. From Science/Math to Liberal Arts (Whoa there!)

So now I have to deal with being in school for an extra year, but it’s worth it since I’m studying something I actually enjoy. I’m almost done! Now I’m looking forward to a summer without classes (maybe) and possibly a job and or internship which I am applying to beginning this week.
